Healing House Donations 2026

Healing House is an 8-bed facility providing 24/7 recuperative care for those who are facing homelessness and have had a recent hospital stay. When someone is discharged from the hospital and requires follow-up care, such care is delivered by home health providers. But you can’t receive these services if you have no home. Healing House allows home health care providers to give follow-up care to individuals as they recuperate. Guests receive three meals a day and childcare assistance. In addition, case management helps locate permanent housing and end the cycle of homelessness.

In previous years, Chummy families have provided a week’s worth of meals for Healing House residents. Now, because many Healing House guests arrive at the house with the bare minimum, they are requesting items to make their stay more comfortable.

Shopping for and delivering these items - alongside a conversation about these families in need - is a wonderful activity to do with your kids.
